Welcome to Rhode Island’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education web portal. Here you can learn how a STEM education will prepare ALL Rhode Island’s youth to be effective 21st century citizens and benefit through a lifetime of rewarding and ever-changing career opportunities in the innovation economy

To get started, return to the Home page and click on the About STEM tab. There you can learn more about the importance of a STEM educated workforce for America’s global competitiveness and how Rhode Island is responding to this challenge locally.

Also on the Home page you can find links to News about important STEM topics within Rhode Island and nationally. Upcoming Events and the monthly Calendar will help you to plan near term and future STEM explorations with your child to spark their curiosity and develop interests that you can pursue, together.

The Monthly Spotlight, also found on the Home page, features students, educators and leaders in industry whose accomplishments deserve to be celebrated and who demonstrate the relevance of STEM in the lives of your children and to your communities.

Finally, be sure to examine the Educators tab where you can easily sort a wide array of STEM resources identified, described and rated by teachers and college faculty that may be of interest to your student and to you. These resources can be easily sorted by grade level, subject and program type and can be downloaded for your convenience.

We understand that family members who support students along their STEM journey will have a wide range of needs for information about education and careers. Your feedback will help us to plan future enhancements of the Families section of the RI STEM web portal.
